Project related text:
The goal of the proposed project is to reduce the environmental impacts by implementing the program of utilization of Associated Petroleum Gas (APG) which had been previously flared.
Implemented measures aimed at reduction of APG flaring at Priobskoe oil field between 2007 and 2011. The following directions to utilize flared APG were chosen: (i) APG compression and transportation to Yuzhno-Balyksky gas processing plant of SIBUR company, (ii) utilization of APG as a fuel for electricity generation at the largest in Russia 315 MW gas turbine power plant to be constructed at Priobskoe oil field.
Current status of the project Operational
