On this page JI related guidance/clarifications are provided.
All documents (forms, procedures, etc.) approved by the JISC and published on the UNFCCC JI website are intended for use in connection with the verification procedure under the JISC, as defined in paragraphs 30-45 of the JI guidelines. If the documents are used for any other purpose, they shall not be modified or changed in any way, and anyone making such use of the documents shall hold harmless and defend the JISC and the UNFCCC secretariat against any action that may be brought against them as a result of such use.
The following seven documents have been cancelled with the adoption of the "Procedure for accrediting
independent entities by the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee (version 06)" and the "Joint
implementation accreditation standard (version 01)":
"Clarification regarding conditions for designated operational entities for acting provisionally as accredited independent entities (version 02)";
"Clarification regarding scopes and steps of witnessing activities under the joint implementation accreditation procedure (version 03)";
"Clarification regarding identification of witnessing opportunities by designated operational entities acting provisionally as accredited independent entities (version 02)";
"Clarification regarding responsibility of accredited premises of accredited independent entities (version 02)";
"Clarification regarding monitoring period of joint implementation project for witnessing of verification function of applicant independent entities";
"Clarification regarding the timing of witnessing activities";
"Handbook on accreditation of independent entities under joint implementation".
The provisions of the first six documents have been incorporated either in the "Procedure for accrediting independent entities by the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee (version 06)"
or the "Joint implementation accreditation standard (version 01)", with modifications as appropriate. The "Handbook on accreditation of independent entities under joint implementation" has been cancelled.
