* In 2006 the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, at its second session in Nairobi, Kenya, in Decision 10/CMP.2, adopted an amendment to Annex B to the Kyoto Protocol, adding Belarus to it. Article 20 of the Kyoto Protocol, applicable to amendments to Annex B to the Kyoto Protocol, states that an "amendment ... shall enter into force for those Parties having accepted it on the ninetieth day after the date of receipt by the Depositary of an instrument of acceptance by at least three fourths of the Parties to this Protocol. ... The amendment shall enter into force for any other Party on the ninetieth day after the date on which that Party deposits with the Depositary its instrument of acceptance of the said amendment."
The updated status of ratifications of the amendment to Annex B to the Kyoto Protocol relating to Belarus is available at the UNFCCC website.
(Unless otherwise indicated, the term
