Project related text:
The proposed Joint Implementation project considers complex resource-saving effect of construction of sinter cooling and stabilization units at sintering plants #2 and #3 and sequential installation of bell-less top chargers at blast furnaces #4, 6, 9, 10 and 2.
Thus project implementation generates CO2 emissions reductions due to reduction of metallurgical coke consumption at blast furnaces of OJSC “MMK”. The coke is produced at MMK from coking coal and used in the blast furnace process as a fuel and a chemical reducing agent.
Current status of the project Operational
Total verified emission reductions 0.0 t CO2 equivalent
