Publication of one JI verification report, one JI monitoring report and one JI PDD

JI verification report

Paragraph 38 of the annex to decision 9/CMP.1 (JI guidelines) stipulates that, under the verification procedure under the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee (JISC), the accredited independent entity (AIE) shall make its determination regarding reported emission reductions or enhancements of removals (verification) publicly available through the secretariat, together with an explanation of its reasons. In accordance with paragraph 39 of the JI guidelines, a verification shall be deemed final 15 days after the date on which it is made public, unless a Party involved in the project or three of the members of the JISC request a review by the JISC.

In accordance with paragraph 38 of the JI guidelines, a verification pertaining to the following joint implementation (JI) project, for monitoring report number "001" covering the period from 01 January 2008 to 31 December 2008, has been submitted by an AIE to the secretariat and will be publicly available as of tomorrow, 02 December 2009:

"0104. Improvement of the Energy efficiency at Energomashspetsstal (EMSS), Kramatorsk, Ukraine"

The period for requesting a review will end on 16 December 2009 (17:00 GMT).

The abovementioned verification will be available on the UNFCCC JI website under <http://ji.unfccc.int/JI_Projects/DeterAndVerif/Verif/VerifRep.html


JI monitoring report

Paragraph 36 of the annex to decision 9/CMP.1 (JI guidelines) stipulates that, under the verification procedure under the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee (Track 2 procedure), reports on reductions in emissions by sources or enhancements of removals by sinks due to joint implementation (JI) projects shall be made publicly available.

This message is to notify that an (accredited) independent entity (IE) submitted to the UNFCCC secretariat a monitoring report for the following JI project:

"0104. Improvement of the Energy efficiency at Energomashspetsstal (EMSS), Kramatorsk, Ukraine" with the monitoring report number "002", covering the period from 01 January 2009 to 30 September 2009.

The abovementioned monitoring report is now available on the UNFCCC JI website under <http://ji.unfccc.int/JI_Projects/DeterAndVerif/Verif/MonRep.html>.


JI project design document

Paragraph 32 of the annex to decision 9/CMP.1 (JI guidelines) stipulates that, under the verification procedure under the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee (Track 2 procedure), accredited independent entities (AIEs) shall make joint implementation (JI) project design documents (PDDs) publicly available through the secretariat, subject to confidentiality provisions, and receive comments from Parties, stakeholders and UNFCCC accredited observers for 30 days from the date the PDD is made publicly available.

This message is to notify that the JI PDD for the following project has been submitted by an AIE to the UNFCCC secretariat and will be open for comments as of tomorrow, 02 December 2009 until 31 December 2009 (17:00 GMT):

"0203. Construction of new Air Separation Plant by Air Liquide-Severstal, Russia"

The abovementioned PDD will be available on the UNFCCC JI website under
<http://ji.unfccc.int/JI_Projects/DeterAndVerif/Verification/PDD/index.html>, where also detailed information on the submission of comments will be provided.
