Call for public input on determination and verification manual (DVM)

Background

At its thirteenth meeting, the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee (JISC) discussed the necessity to develop a determination and verification manual (DVM), taking into account the opinions expressed by stakeholders during the UNFCCC technical workshop on joint implementation on 9–10 September 2008 and the inputs from the DOE/AIE coordination forum, and decided to request the forum and interested stakeholders to provide input on what would be the exact nature and purpose of a DVM. In this context, the JISC requested the secretariat to launch a call for public input and compile the inputs for consideration by the JISC at its fourteenth meeting.

The JISC highlighted that in providing input, the forum and stakeholders may identify the areas of the validation and verification manual (VVM) adopted by the Executive Board of the CDM at its forty-fourth meeting, that may be relevant to the development of a DVM.
