Project related text:
The project proposes to expand Krasnodar CHPP (KCHPP) of LLC “LUKOIL-Kubanenergo” through the introduction of a new state-of-the-art combined-cycle power plant (CCP) with a view to enhancing efficiency, increasing electricity and heat generation and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The project replaces a significant amount of electricity generated at less efficient power generating capacities of the Integrated Energy System of the South of Russia (IES South) and also makes it possible to discontinue heat production in the boiler houses.
