Project related text:
The goal of the project is to reduce impact of the ironmaking process on the climate by modernization of the existing production process by application of more energy efficient technology. In order to achieve the goal of the project, Severstal constructed Coke Furnace Battery (CFB) #3 from scratch and constructed the Blast Furnace (BF) #4. Also new energy efficient auxiliary equipment was introduced (a top-pressure recovery turbine and coke dry-quenching plant).
