Call for public inputs on the Joint implementation accreditation standard - first draft
|
| |
Background
At its nineteenth meeting,
the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee (JISC) considered the first draft Joint implementation accreditation standard
submitted by the Joint Implementation Accreditation Panel (JI-AP) as a document elaborating the provisions of appendix A
to the annex to decision 9/CMP.1 (JI guidelines) and consolidating into a single document all JI accreditation requirements
by integrating existing requirements, with modifications as appropriate, and adding new requirements deemed necessary for an
efficient and transparent JI accreditation process. The objectives of this document will be to:
- Facilitate and promote a clear and common understanding of the JI accreditation requirements;
- Ensure consistent enforcement of the JI accreditation requirements and of assessment of
applicant independent entities and accredited independent entities against these requirements
by joint implementation assessment teams, the JI-AP and the JISC in accordance with the
JI accreditation procedure;
- Enhance the efficiency and transparency of the JI accreditation process.
Also at its nineteenth meeting, the JISC requested
the secretariat to launch a call for public inputs on the first draft Joint implementation accreditation standard to
